My name is Marysha Joan Porwata
I am a visual artist and at the moment staying on an anonimous spot in Groningen
I dare to say that I am an Outsider.
Which means that I succeeded in putting myself completely outside of society.
For me as an artist that was the minimun requirement for the wish I expressed during my studie at the art academie Minerva under the guidance of Ton Mars in 2010
When I still worked under the artist name Marysa Prince
I expressed two wishes, namely that I wanted to learn permanently from a teacher as in the time of Leonardo da vinci and that I wanted to make an insider out of an outsider.
I decided to make it my life mission.
I wanted a teacher who could accompany me 24 hours a day.
As one used to learn from a master.
With the support of the co founder of Pop Paleis Paradiso & good studiefriend Anneke de Hoop
I was able to involve a church in Pieterburen for a year to prepare myself on my final Exam.
The plan was to make a same sort of concept as paradiso
thinking of stripping the church of all its religious content and to change into a living art object
Where the windows would project an eternally moving glass in lead projection outward
To represent the illusion of eternity.
Inside the church there would be activities for individuals and groups to children with a special talent,
Nowadays so-called difficult children.
(The outsiders of the future)
Than I could not imagine that major changes were coming.
My Family started to interfere in the matter and tried to remove me from the school.
However Minerva refused to cooperate, they saw no benefit in stopping a study of their greatest Talent as they put it.
Coincidence!!
I don,t think it exists!
I got to deal with Groningens real Raw Top Talent!!

Jeremiach Porwata
Jeremiach Porwata. (Formaly known under the artistname Andy or mr. Cherokey)
In 2012 Jeremiach and I decided to go on the road in search of a permanent work/living space.
preferably at Groningen
Jeremiach has a rich past and extensive experience when it comes to guiding children and adults who
have been rejected by society
In order to understand who Jeremiach actually is, here is his workexperience.
In the 70,s he came to Groningen at age 14 just fullfilled his policy
He had only 65 guilders in his pocket
He was taken under the wing by a young theology student, who lived in the tidiest squat of Groningen next to the trainstation.!
He tried to apply for the art academie, but got rejected, because his work was to good
Minerva thought he couldn,t learn anything more than he allready knew.
In a frenzy of dissapointment , he threw all of his paintings into the channel from the museum bridge
After which at the insistence of his supervisor, he succesfully admitted at the conservatory because of his great guitar skills.
In order to be able to pay for his studies, he worked in the morninghours at 7 different chinese restaurants in cleaning their kitchens
Also he was very skilled in the martial arts
He has 7 worldtitles in the free fight & is called aikido Fu meng shumaster.
He also became the first Watchman in Groningen, together with his brothers he made sure that the Groningers could dance safely.
He succeeded cum laude at the Conservatorium
as the youngest and most promising talent of all time
During his studies he also manages to collect two titles in the Dutch trade economy and mathematics
He also became an officer in the Dutch army, but resigned with the announcement that he would rather shoot with musical notes.
He had mastered the skills of guitar, base and percussion!
An extremely gifted multi talent!!
After his studies were finished he wanted to discover the blues
So he went for a year to the United States.
At the end of his journey he meat the blueslegend Charles Montgomerie Cliff
He stayed with him to watch and learn untill his death.
After mr Montgomerie past away he returned to Groningen.
and started playing at Groninger Jamsessions.
There was a Germain headhunter, acting on behalf of the Germain Ullie, of the Beatclub
A very famous program in Germany, that approached him during one of those sessions.
She was looking for new raw talent.
That,s when he started out at the Beatclub in Germany
(Prince, David Bowie, Nina Hagen, Herman Brood all once played there)
Where he was dicovered by the German disco giant Helmut
He saw how the crowd went wild of his performances
With the financial support of Helmut he was able to form his own band.
Cherokey
He composed this band with talents from the street, often in a homeless situation and trained them
Cherokey concisted of 30 different members of which he became the frontman.
Prince was in one of his forplays at one point.
In the next 12 years they toured around the world many times with great succes.
They made records but only with pictures of the band
Mr. Cherokey never wanted on the Cover
Nor did he allow any pictures being taken during concerts.
He never gave interviews.
For him that was not important.
Still Jeremiach remained loyal to Groningen but in Holland he never played with his band.
He only played allone on North Sea Jazz festival with big names such as Walter Trout, BB King, and many others.
The most important reason that he remained loyal to Groningen were his 5 beautiful daughters who lived in the City with his 3 ex wives
And because Groningen was the start of his succes.
With Cherokey he went three times around the world on mayor tours and accompliced great succeses
Even to the point that Australia called him an honoury citizen.
His reward was at that time 200.000 dollars per performance
He played with names in the musicbusiness such as Aretha Franklin, Walter Trout, Robert Cray Band, Oletha Adam's, Tina Turner, Eros ramasotti, B.B. King, Bob Marley & the wailors, Herman Brood, Candy Dulfer, Hans Dulfer Phill Collins and many many other great atrists.
Yet he remained anonimous for the main public, no intervieuws, no pictures.
The performance itself should be enough.
He build on the power of improvisation
In Holland only Jan Douwe Kroeske managed to interview him one time
A better teacher to follow I couldn,t possibly wish for.
However, Groningen who prides itself to be the City of Talent
Has in the last 5 Years made us terribly difficult to properly develop
It sounds really romantic to roam the earth with your partner
which to us is of course.
But unlike in America where U have the right to live in any way U want.
In Holland it,s forbidden by Law to live outside.
So to be able to live like in the time of Leonardo da Vinci
Is nowadays unformtunately no longer possible.
However, because Groningen is not awair of my partners great artistic caliber
In Groningen they only think of him as Multi Problem Person
The Justice department thought they had to pull him over in traffic continiously chasing him like a wild animal.
U must know that when Jeremiach was on the top of his carreer in the rest of the world.
In Groningen he was stopped in traffic by the police up to twenty times a day
They beleaved a dark person with Molukkan and Timorese background, riding such expensive cars and carrying rolexes must be a criminal or a drugdealer or a terrorist!
They kept bothering him over and over again
Untill one day Jeremiach acted on emotion
The cop that pulled him over started beating him with his bat.
He gave him such a beating that the officer had to go to the hospital
The judge favoured the officer despite all the evidence against him
So Jermiach also beat up the judge and the procecutor.
He came into a spiral of injustice, that has been going on for twenty Years now
and lost all of his possessions
That,s when he decided to help the oppressed
That,s when he came on my path.
I needed his help!
I was threatened to be the victim of a dispute between my Family and teachers of the art academie.
My Family on one hand who no longer supported my development and found that I was better of in a phsyciatric institution, like many artists run into when they make the choice to follow their dreams and callings and on the other hand Minerva who refused to cooperate with the Family .
Jeremiach took me under his wing.
He devended me against my Family and asked me to follow him as a student & lifepartner untill death do us part.
I agreed
The first Year we roamed through Groningen in my little white Subaru car
Subaru means new beginning.
Than Fortunately the municipality after 14 years of rejection started to grant jeremiach benefits!
(Because he was no longer allowed to generate an income by making music by order of the court.)
It had been a struggle to gather inkome upto that point.
He kept us alive with it.
Jeremiach,s wish like mine is to create a place where we both get the freedom to work, make art and music and pass on our knowledge to the next generation.
Only he wants to realise this on our own instead of asking for financial support.
My Question to the museum is to support us in creating a living/working space in our company
Which will also serve as the basis for a living work of art
With as a starting point:
Everyone has the right to develop, freely, regardless of race, gender, age or religion!
What should become an educational institution in the future for children and young adults who are not connected to the main stream education
As recently known , there are as many ad thousends of them sitting at home, because for one reason or another, they are printed in a box of pddnod, adhd, schizoprhenia, psychotic etc. and are therefor given less oppertunities
I ask U for a one time donation of 250.000 euros to be able to purchase the church of choice and transform it into
Organic Church
I advice You to studie this installation further so that You get an idea of the work to be realized.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained
I still beleave in the things I do
There are plenty of right locations in de Provence of Groningen and in the City.
Which are highly recommendable for such a project
It must be a church because of its great accoustics
And because it,s the root of Faith.
The current world is asking for it
